Manufacturing rebounded in June, the best positive change in almost 40 years, helped by improved demand and production, the Institute for Supply Management said. The Tempe, Ariz.-based group’s manufacturing index, known as the PMI, surged to 52.6 percent last month, up from 43.1 percent the month before. Manufacturing is trying to recover from shutdowns spurred by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Automotive Engine Manufacturer uses DeHoff Boring Technology
The DeHoff 1036 CNC is a 3-axis boring machine used for automotive engine rebuilds. The machine is custom designed for re-boring the cam journals of automotive engine blocks during a rebuild program. It has a single spindle with a 1-inch boring capacity and 36-inch boring depth. X-axis and Y-axis movement is provided by a “knee” table. DeHoff boring machines are designed and manufactured in the USA.
