GM Lawsuit Puts FCA in a Crisis

General Motors Co., by filing a racketeering lawsuit against Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, has engulfed FCA in a crisis. GM accused its rival of a "multi-year pattern of corruption." The lawsuit arrived as FCA is trying to merge with the parent company of Peugeot as well as negotiating with the United Auto Workers union. The GM lawsuit depicted FCA's late CEO, Sergio Marchionne, as sitting “at the center of multiple fraudulent schemes."
