Jack Welch, the long-time head of General Electric Co., died in 2020 at the age of 84. He was once hailed at a titan of industry and business. Welch made terms such as "Six Sigma" commonly known. However, even before Welch's death, a re-evaluation of his legacy was underway. For one thing, Welch's magic didn't translate to executives who worked for him. GE itself struggled in the years after Welch retired in 2001.
