Steve joined the Global Business Development team in 2018 to positively influence AWS as the solution destination for the Process Manufacturing industry. Over the next 5 years, new consumer buying expectations will require a dramatic digital transformation for all manufacturing companies. The ability to seamlessly connect the entire supply and value chain from seed or mineral to consumer will be needed by the world’s best manufacturing companies. Steve’s goal is to leverage the AWS team and ecosystem of partners to help companies think big, start small, and move fast to transform their operations and drive the factory and supply chain of the future.
Prior to joining AWS, he had over 25 years of experience in manufacturing starting as a Process Engineer followed by key roles at GE creating vertical business development initiatives and leading key account teams to deliver significant results for global manufacturing companies.
He is a Computer Engineering graduate of Clemson University and lives in Cartersville, GA with his wife Melissa.

Bernard is a Senior Global Marketing Manager “Digital Plant” software at GE Digital. He is an experienced marketing professional with a strong industrial background in HMI/SCADA & Automation, MES, Industrial Internet, Big Data, and Manufacturing Intelligence & has become a recognized expert, published in many industry magazines.
He has served with General Electric for over 15 years. He previously held several Product Marketing, Business & Market Development positions for Siemens, Texas Instruments and the Asian Institute of Technology Bangkok. Former President of the ISA French Chapter and member of the ISA88 & ISA95 committees, he has a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Sophia-Antipolis University, an M.Sc. in Mechanics & Energy Management, and an M.D. in Solid Mechanics.
