The manufacturing ecosystem has seen its capacity to plan its investments ahead fall sharply as a result of the current pandemic. In this webinar, experts from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the Italian Trade Agency will share with you the results of an extensive survey on what strategic changes executives in manufacturing are going to implement to successfully adapt to the new framework.

Some changes expected to happen in 2030 have been anticipated to 2021 in the framework of the new normal business practices.

    Marco currently manages the Chicago, Illinois office of the Italian Trade Agency, tasked with developing bilateral trade and investment relations between USA and Italy in the industrial machinery, automotive, food distribution and publishing sectors (August 2017 onwards). The office assists Italian and local companies nationwide, in these sectors. Marco stands ready to work with local companies and administrations to facilitate mutual advantage solutions related to their business needs and involving an Italian counterpart. He is a trained economics practitioner with expertise in macroeconomic and sector analysis, statistical databases and internationalization support policies Marco has previously been working as ITA’s Senior Economic studies officer (2013-2017), Innovation and start-up companies team officer (2014-2015), Chief representative for ITA in Vietnam (2006-2011), Advisor to the Executive Director for Italy and other countries at the World Bank Group (2000-2005) and Economic studies officer (1993-2000). He holds a Master’s degree in Political Sciences from La Sapienza in Rome and a Certificate in Emerging Markets from Johns Hopkins’ SAIS He’s a member of the Italian Journalists’ Guild since 1992.

    Since 2019, Giuseppe Lesce is President of FEDERMACCHINE, the National Federation of Association of Manufacturers of capital goods intended for industrial and handicrafts manufacturing processes and he is also director of Public Affairs of SACMI Imola group, international leader in the production of machines and complete systems for the ceramics, metals, packaging, food and beverage industries and for the production of containers made of plastic and advanced materials.

    Always involved in associative activities, Lesce was vice president of FEDERMACCHINE from 2017 to 2019 and, from 2010 to 2016, president of UCIMA, the Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers' Association.

    Graduated in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna, Giuseppe Lesce is married and has three children.
